Introducing…Apple!

Thanks to all who attended the Stemilt Store fundraiser and adoption event this Saturday for the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society. With your help and support, we raised over $2,100!

And, in even bigger news, I walked away with a little bit more than a bag of pears. Please meet Apple, the newest addition to the Pepperl household…

She needs a bit of fattening up and, since she was used to help train veterinary students to take blood samples, she has a patch of bald that needs to grow in. Apple had been shuffled from shelter to shelter with no one truly recognizing what a special canine she is. Glad we were there to help make a Christmas miracle happen!

Stop by the Stemilt Store on Highway 97A this Saturday, Dec. 17, from 10 to 3, to buy your holiday fruit. Stemilt will donate 10% of all sales that day to the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society, a cause near and dear to my heart. In addition, they will be featuring an incredibly cheap $2 bag of pears, giving half of all proceeds on those to the animals.

The local Humane Society will be there as well, with great dogs and cats ready for adoption. Santa will be stopping by and there will be crafts for the kids. Come munch a few cookies, have some cider, and show your support for this worthy organization!
